Today I am celebrating. Firstly because we have been awarded Devon Wildlife Trust’s Silver Award for farm businesses which are managing their land and business for the benefit of wildlife. I had to go through several big hoops for this so am rather proud! It means we are entitled to use the Wildlife Trust’s logo on our website and publicity and will appear on their website. Click on DWT on the right to see more details about the scheme. All I have to do now is figure out how to get the logo on everything!
also today I heard from Clarence House – home of The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. It was an apology for the late arrival of a “thank you” for the cashmere shawl I presented to Her Royal Highness at the Devon County Show. Apparently HRH actually wore the shawl that night and the card with all my details on got mislaid as a consequence! I was absolutely thrilled to hear that. I’m just delighted that she liked it!!

Congratulations!
You’re like the Robert Bakewell of the new millennium!

Congratulations! What a fantastic achievement to get the silver and so glad that HRH liked the shawl. Congrats again.

That’s fabulous news! And HRH gets points too, for her impeccable taste in shawls!

Thanks Cally! I must admit I was surprised. HRH must get dozens of gifts every week. Mind you, even though I say it myself it was a bit special. The picture really doesn’t do it justice. Louise did a fabulous job of the weaving and the lichen dye smelled wonderful.
